Sport is an invaluable part of many children’s lives in Calgary. Unfortunately, because of the costs associated with sport, many children from less fortunate families are unable to participate. Since January 2023, KidSport Calgary has distributed over $2,000,000 providing over 6,000 children the opportunity to participate in 71 different sports. We expect to see the demand for KidSport funding increase significantly in response to the economic crisis many families have experienced during and post the pandemic. KidSport aims to reduce the financial barriers of sport by providing funding assistance of up to $500 per child per year to help with their sport registration fees.

KidSport Calgary is excited to launch its tenth annual Give the Gift of Sport campaign. This year, we ask that you reflect on all the wonderful things sport has done for you and consider making a donation to the campaign. There are many ways you can contribute to the success of our program, including (but not limited to):

-In lieu of a holiday gift to staff, donate to KidSport in their name
-Redirect holiday party funds towards KidSport
-Make a corporate donation
-Become a sponsor of the Give the Gift of Sport Campaign
-Ask customers to round up to the next dollar for KidSport
