The City of Calgary's Event Advisory Committee is requesting volunteers to serve as members on the committee. Applicants must have an interest in the areas of arts and culture, sport, events, tourism, and community animation. The member term is three years beginning March 2012.
The Committee provides guidance to Administration to facilitate the success of the Festival and Event Policy by supporting the program within the community and The City. Closing date for applications is February 17. More.

Canadian Sport for Life has announced Dr. Vicki Harber has been accepted to the Canadian Association for the Advancement of Women in Sport and Physical Activity’s 2011 Most Influential Women in Sport and Physical Activity List (MIW).
