Facility Allocation Review

This review will support the development of a new permitting allocation model aligned with the Canadian Sport For Life Model for city owned and operated facilities.

Endowment Fund Award - Awarded to Calgary athletes competing at a high-performance national or international level and who are committed in their pursuit of excellence.

National Sport Organization Grant - Available to NSO's that organize/operate programs and/or initiatives to increase the number of women coaching and increase their certification levels. The grant is based upon 50% matching of the funds invested by the NSO.

Canadian Athletes Now Fund - Provides funds and awareness to athletes representing Canada internationally.

Take the Lead Grant - Assists Albertan girls and women to become experienced leaders in the areas of sport and recreation.

KidSport Elite Performance Grant - Funding is available for athletes from families facing financial barriers who are participating in a provincial team program.
Closing dates: March 31, June 30, September 30, December 31, 2012
KidSport Grant - Provides assistance to children from families facing financial barriers so they can participate in registered sport programs.

Amateur Sport Grant - Enhances amateur sport throughout the Calgary area by supporting capital projects that provide significant benefit to the continuation and enrichment of amateur sport.

Athletes Assistance Program - Provides financial support to enable athletes to combine their sport and academic/working careers while training intensively in pursuit of world-class performances. Must be approved for carding.

Community Capital Conservation Grant - Supports community-operated infrastructure on City-owned land, through funding for facility lifecycle planning and capital projects to maintain safe and healthy facilities.

The Investors Group Community Coaching Conference - Grants available for organizations that bring coaches of community-based sport together to learn, train and network.

Community Spirit Program - Increases individual charitable giving to support Alberta's non-profit/charitable organizations. Program is made up of a donation grant and a charitable tax credit.
Closing date is December 31, 2011
Community Facility Enhancement Program - Supports the expansion/upgrade of community use facilities, in partnership with local citizens, community organizations and volunteers.
Closing dates: December 15, 2011, March 15, June 16, September 15, 2012
Community Initiatives Program - Matching funds to enhance and enrich project-based initiatives throughout Alberta.
Closing dates: December 15, 2011, March 15, June 15,September 15, 2012
Other Initiatives Program - Provides support to worthy Alberta projects which cannot be funded under the criteria/existing funding levels of other Alberta Lottery Fund grant programs.

Human Rights and Multiculturalism Grant - The fund works with community organizations, public institutions and government to foster equality by supporting initiatives making it easier for Albertans.

Alberta Coaches Education Voucher - $50 rebate cost to cover the Fundamentals of Coaching course from an ASAA Member School.

Coaches and Officials Visitation Grant - Offsets travel/accommodation costs to host out of province or out of country coaches or officials.

Michael Gee Scholarship Fund Award - Award is based on athletic (hockey) and academic performance. Scholarship funds are available when entering post-secondary education.

Organization Transformation Grant - Assists organizations that are in a period of transition towards long term sustainability.

Daryl K. Seaman Canadian Hockey Fund - Supports amateur ice hockey in Canada, registered amateur athletic associations; and other general charitable purposes determined by the Board.

Small Grant - Offered to support organizations to take advantage of unique opportunities to advance their work.

Tara Sloan Memorial Scholarship - Offered to senior national competitive swimmers (non-carded), attending a university in Alberta.
