Leadership and Sport Excellence Award

Calgary Sport Council is pleased to invite nominations for the Sport Leadership and Excellence Award. The award recognizes and celebrates the outstanding contribution of a sport club/organization, which has had a significant positive contribution to the betterment of sport in Calgary. The sport club/organization: must be Calgary based must be not-for-profit society must be currently active must be able to provide evidence of sound volunteer management and business practices as evidenced by their programming. either nominated or recommended by Calgary Sport Council member. Past winners include the Calgary Booster Club, Canadian Sport Centre Calgary, KidSport Calgary, Calgary Senior High School Athletic Association, and Girls Hockey Calgary. We are soliciting nominations from the Calgary sport community. Any individual may submit a nomination. All nominations must be received by August 14, 2010. The nominations will be reviewed by the Award Committee appointed by the Calgary Sport Council, Nominations will be evaluated and ranked based on the information provided in this nomination form and accompanying materials only so please be as thorough as possible. We encourage you to engage the nominee in this process to ensure a comprehensive submission. The award will be presented at the Mayor's Sport Breakfast at the Telus Convention Centre on Thursday, September 30, 2010. The award winner will be notified prior to the Breakfast.
